Our Company
Isca Beauty is a conscientious, ethical, family-run business based in Exeter, Devon, UK. We create handmade, eco-friendly, cruelty-free, vegan bath and body products made without palm oil or palm oil derivatives.
We’re extremely passionate about our products which have been meticulously formulated by an experienced professional research scientist with a doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB). Careful consideration has been taken to be mindful of the environmental and social impact of all the ingredients we use.
Considerable time is placed on sourcing the most ethical, sustainable products.
- We don’t use any plastic in our packaging other than the recyclable PET lids on our glass jars. It’s all recyclable and compostable although we like to pop the paper wrappers in our clothes drawers to add some lovely scent!
- Natural is not always better than synthetic when considering sustainability and ethics, therefore we offer consumers the choice. We sell a range of products to try and meet your requirements.
- Our NaturaISCA range is orientated to more naturally derived ingredients so if you prefer natural colourants and essential oils, this is for you.
- Our WilderISCA range contains carefully sourced synthetic fragrances, colourants and detergents, chosen to be as close to natural as possible whilst still being of benefit to the final product. This range also contains products that are free from certain allergens that are found in essential oils.
There is a careful balancing act, one is not better than the other, this is why we have our NaturaISCA range and our WilderISCA range so you can make the choice.
Transparency
- We are transparent about all our ingredients and only ever include something if it improves the product, we DO NOT add anything for “Label Value”, every ingredient we use has an important function and is present at a functional level.
- We have a glossary of ingredients explaining what every component of your product does, and why we think it is beneficial and why we chose to use it.
Cleanliness and hygiene are important, but so is our environment and our fellow human beings. This is why we strive to achieve ethical and sustainable products that are responsibly sourced.
